The U16 team had a very tough game in the 4th round of the EH Tier 1 National Competition. King's started the game at a fast pace with some fantastic building play through the midfield from Sam Cobb, Charlie Spurr and Tim Roberts which found Harry Blakey in space in the D were he scored to quickly put the team ahead.

Kings continued to apply pressure to the Sherborne defence with numerous circle entries and some good opportunities created by Alex Cunningham and Charlie Spurr. Once again Harry Blakey was in space on the top of the top but the GK fouled him which resulted in a penalty stroke. Alex Cunningham confidently stepped up to take this and scored putting the King's team two goals ahead.

The Sherborne team were relentless and continued to work hard to try and find gaps. After a penatly corner had played out the Sherborne team just managed to find a gap and scored.

After a few stoppages for injury the team continued to drive forward after a foul on Tim Roberts, another penatly stroke was awarded. This time James Rew stepped up and scored. In the final minute of the game Sherborne were awarded a penalty corner which they scored. However this didn't affect the result. 3-2 win for the King's team putting them into the National Quarterfinals.
